Free Will --
By Leith [Stephanie] Merl [Doty]
He thinks she is dead – that it’s all
his fault.
Yet we thought it would be he who would
die.
She ground him down relentlessly,
convincing
him he was
responsible for her happiness.
She’s
disappeared; her friends blame
him.
Of course, she
set this motion a long time ago.
He’s feeling
broken, riddled with guilt.
This is
precisely what she wanted.
What does one
do in a situation like this?
Present him
with two questions.
Do you love
yourself enough to live?
Do you hate
yourself so much that you choose to
die?
There's nothing
more to do -- the choice is his.
He will either
choose to live or he will choose to
die.
