Drips Of Tears

“Have you given thought to your strength and the joys in your life or, the things that have set you free? I think this is the time to take them (metaphorically) to the ocean, and/or like my poem, perhaps a contemplation of life and the way it may seem. I wrote “Tear Trip” in Sandestin Florida but the main inspiration comes from Destilideras Beach in Mexico where I have enjoyed spending time” ~ Lynda Filler

Lynda Filler is a woman of joy; she brings light and love into your orbit just by knowing her. When I took a journey back at past challenges/blogs I came across this theme by Linda and felt an inspiration to bring it back to life. The joys in our life are the fulfillments that set us free; they are the dreams we conquer and also the disappointments that lead us to growth. How do we really deal with our joys? As a poet, writing fulfills me. Simply thinking or observing is that joy that sets me free. Whether its tears of sadness, strength, or joy take them to that place where you find that internal freedom; a place where you find your joy. The poem below is by Lynda Filler

Tear Trip

By Lynda Filler

I’m taking my tears

To the ocean today

Where we’ll lie by the gentle sea

And watch children play

Make castles in the sand

And try to find my way back to me.

I’m thinking of my strength

The joys in my life

The things that have set me free

And I wonder why

I’m taking that well-traveled road

When the lesser was always meant for me.

Waterfall

~~~~~~
Waterfall
gushing from space-less empathy
beneath orchard's consequence.
Wandering vine
bandage itself around the theme, its axis
ablaze...
.. jumping beats of a heart
descending through a summer's day, its
soul seated atop thawing ice...
in a field you once dreamed...
.. .. ..Old house guitars, violins play in understanding
over rugged shelves, where knowledge once invigorated
its head... its' mind stone cold, collapsing notes, a presence
gleamed across crashing waves, of an abandoned ocean
. .
. . .Staring over a piano's character, half-staff stars bind
the contemplations, the places you've been, the rides through
time...fingers faster than the speed of light, wave over the sky
of once upon imaginations, and scour the globe for timid smiles
...Suddenly, this world... helps itself to the dream-catchers, tis'
events careening down cascading mountain caps, covered mazes
stream through excavated ditches, once holding good times...
.
. . .Circling back; to the spot we retreated from, dancing drums
flour the days, the minutes tick away, as tears are carried away
going back to sunsets, and morning dew, salt fills the air of now..
After the rains of tears
After the rains of tears
blessing of the sun has come.
After the days of weeping
the song of joy is sung...
THE TEAR My gaze inadvertently stumbled across a tear Which was unobstructedly and carelessly flowing down her face, sparkling and shining. She, however, stood motionlessly down In the endless darkness, drowning in shame and pain. And the tear suddenly teetered down As if haunted by someone, the tear was abandoned, Trembling on a patch of hot skin and watching Me as if to say: "Would you for once do something for my sake, just this one and only time do something for my sake... "I looked at it, shaken by its cry against my will, And so I kissed it, and the milder feelings inside stiffened, and she replied: "And now I shall leave, won't I?... I'm just standing in your way... I'm just standing in the way... of your joy." ©Walter William Safar
Drips of tears in my soul.
Fear rises bold.
I find my heart acing so.
There is a lost love that needs to be told.
Drips of tears in my soul.
I find my heart so cold.
For each and every day I miss him so.
My mind can not see the end.
I just know are love wont win.
Drips of tears in my soul.
My mind growing so cold.
In this life I was told love hangs on even when your old.
But that is not the case here.
For love let go after many years.
It left me scared and full of tears.
Drips of tears in my soul.
I’ve seem to lost my path road.
Depression as unfolded.
love left me with a heart so broken apart.
My soul blacken into the dark.
Nothing good remains in my heart.
Drips of tears in my soul.
Love gone wrong.
You can hear it in all the songs I play.
My broken heart shows every day.
This love as made me pay.
Now my soul lives in the grey.
Drips of tears in my soul.
There is nothing more I know.
For love dies many times .
In this tear drops rhyme .
A Moments Notice
by MrDaMan
Virgil R. Hall II (Randy)
The difference is appalling,
between the dusk of depression
and the dawn of joy.
Like the scythe of the pendulum,
the mood cuts both ways.
And I am, an open wound.
So heavy the twilight,
the weight of the day takes time,
tic by tock by tic, a malign mass.
A blanket of woe, my obsession,
to count unlucky stars in darkness,
sparks of hope in a dense black sky.
Something to laugh at, uproariously,
as the seething want settles for the pain.
It's so slow, this depression, my birthright.
It lasts forever, the oncoming night,
each and every ache, magnified,
like an elephant on a mole hill.
What joy there is, unfair and fleeting,
at the crack of dawn, the sun, the light,
taken for granted in one happy flash of day.
The brilliance so inspiring, banishing the night,
and the awesome pleasure, enough to spawn tears.
So quickly in the blink of a satisfied sigh, it's done.
And what is left, but the crawling night,
on the other side of the world, inching its way,
to me, as a reminder to savor joy, whenever I can.
