Who are the highest paid authors in the world?


Who do you think are the highest paid authors in the world? According to Parade magazine on Aug. 14, the answers might surprise you. I’ll give you a hint on number one, though. If you want to be on top of this list, focus your writing on sex.

That little hint should have tipped you off to the fact that E.L. James, author of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy, is the highest-paid author. Ms. James earned $95 million in the last year alone on the trilogy. To put that in perspective, Angelina Jolie is the highest-paid actress in Hollywood and she made about a third of that amount.
